In response to a cavity, this is done to remove infected tooth structure and replace it with filling material to restore the tooth to its original shape.
Crowns
Dental crowns are caps placed on top of damaged teeth. Crowns are used to protect, cover and restore the shape of your teeth when fillings don’t solve the problem.
Bridges
If you have one or more missing teeth, a dental bridge can fill the gap with one or more artificial (false) teeth. A bridge is typically made of crowns on either side of the missing tooth or teeth supporting the pontic (false tooth) and is cemented in place.
Dentures
A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. There are two types of dentures, complete and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain.
